Brian Quick, WR Appalachian State Scouting Report

Brian Quick, WR Appalachian State [HT- 6’5 WT-220 4.5 40]

Positives- Brian is a very big, strong, and athletic Wideout…Great hands and leaping ability…Makes big plays/plays above average with poor QB play…Big play after catch and contact.

Negatives- Very raw in terms of pure route running ability…This effects his football IQ…Not overly quick, but above average burst…Below average straight line speed and can be run down…Limited route tree.

Mohamed Sanu, WR Rutgers Scouting Report

Mohamed Sanu, WR Rutgers [HT- 6’2 WT-215 40-4.48]

Positives-  Mohamed has above average size, speed, and strength…He is a jack-of-all-trades type of prospect, he can return kicks and punts, rush the ball, and even punt and kick if needed…Explosive off the line and creates separation easier than most other receivers…Strong upper body and a very good blocker…Elite level hands and above average vision.

Negatives-  Very raw at the position and running routes…He is injury prone and they do linger…Game speed doesn’t equal actual speed…Looks to be a Slot/#2 at the next level…Doesn’t stretch the field like others.

Morris Claiborne, CB Louisiana State University Scouting Report

Morris Claiborne, CB Louisiana State University (HT- 6’0 WT- 185)

PositivesMorris is the ideal size and has comparable strength to play at a high level in the NFL.  He has natural and fluid hips, and rarely takes a miss-step.  Morris excels in both man to man and zone coverage, being able to jam and run with any receiver he has matched up against.  Morris has elite level instincts and Quarterback eye reading ability….he times his jumps and interception moves perfectly.  He is a two-way player, averaging nearly 30 yards per kickoff return, showing his quick and elusiveness.

Negatives- Morris does struggle to show consistency in jamming and press coverage…when he tried to overpower a receiver, he can get off balance, but is able to make up for it (on occasion) to make up for it with his speed.  Needs to add weight to his frame and work on his tackling technique (he lacks upper body strength).
