George Iloka, CB/S/LB Boise State Scouting Report

George Iloka, CB/S/LB Boise State [HT- 6'4 WT-225 4.51 projected 40]

Positives- George has a tall frame with long arms…He displays good balance and vision as a Safety…He is capable of playing in the box and can mirror in one on ones, break off, and get into coverage…George does well in Zone coverage as he can scan the field and get a read on the ball (plays centerfield well)…Playing Corner, he can get a good punch off on the line then bail into coverage…He uses his strength as a hard, tight tackler…He looks the part of a hybrid defender (capable of playing Corner, Safety, Linebacker) who can stay, cover, and tackle large, hybrid Tightends.

Negatives- George is a raw prospect at either position (Corner or Safety) and would need extra time to learn and develop skills necessary to play either position at the next level…He will chop his feet in coverage and get high on his backpedal, causing him to lose speed and containment of the Receiver…He is also an inconsistent tackler and struggles on occasion to wrap up…He shows poor speed at time, and will play slower than actual speed, this is attributed to poor feet, balance, and hips.
